Happy Monday Friends! Today I have a fun and untraditional Christmas card to share with you today. I am using our Poinsettia & Christmas Wreath stamp sets. I have been going through a bit of a pink phase lately and thought these colors would be perfect for one of my friends fighting cancer. Christmas + Pink Ribbon = hope.
I began by stamping my poinsettia with Versamark ink. This looks amazing on colored cardstock and goes great with a no-line effect. I am using my new Prismacolor pencils in yummy pink colors. After coloring each flower, I then stamped the inside with Antique Linen because I am coloring it in the same shades of my brown pencils. Finally to add some depth to each flower, I colored a light grey edge to each petal.
For my finishing touches, I stamped “hope” sentiment from the Christmas Wreath stamp set in Rich Cocoa Memento Ink. And again used a grey pencil to give it a little shading. Finally, some silver and white Stickles were used for some sparkle and shine.
I hope you have a great week! Are you a newsletter subscriber? If so, this week is my annual Birthday Bash Sale! You won’t want to miss some exclusive sales! Black Friday on my Birthday! 🙂
I will be back later this week with another card.
With crafty hugs and love, Joanna
