Hey everyone! I am back today with a new card using our Build A Stocking stamp set! I didn’t realize how many letter B stamp sets that I have. LOL 🙂 If you haven’t been following my A-Z stamping quest, you can click here to view all the cards so far. This was a super fun watercolor project that uses some Koi coloring Brush Pens.
I am using some Canson XL watercolor paper and a wet on wet watercoloring technique. I began by scribbling two colors of red on the heal and also on the top of the stocking. I then used a #5 brush with lots of water on it and spread the ink around. While the water was still wet, I used a paper towel and created these highlights on the inside of my stocking. Afterwards, I used some white gouache and painted over the stocking to add some details. Masking helped create all the goodies inside my stocking and I also added my own pine leaves to fill inside the blanks.
I didn’t want to cover up my watercolor image so I took my sentiment and placed it in the inside of my card. This gorgeous sentiment can be found in my Festive Greetings stamp set.
This fun stamp set will be our featured set for the rest of the week and is 50% off the retail price. You can check out all the details by clicking here!
Here are a few more examples using this fun stamp set!
I hope you have a great autumn weekend! Hugs, Joanna xo
