Hey crafty friends! I hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! Any crafting time this long holiday? I was able to play around with our new newsletter freebie. What a fun, fun, fun design to color! I hope that you signed up to our newsletter. Our next newsletter will hit your inbox on September 15th. 🙂 And I have an autumn design to share with you.
One of the key things with my digital downloads is that I offer two separate card fronts. One of them has the traditional black outline and the second one has a very light grey outline for those that LOVE (Like Me :)) the no line technique. This allows you to color them with pencils, watercolors, paints, etc and you will not see the outline of these flowers, leaves and stems.
My first card was printed onto Strathmore Colored Pencil Paper. You can find all the supplies at the bottom of my blog post, compensated affiliates applied. This paper is not as heavy as cardstock and did make it through the printer! Yay!
I then grabbed my Polychromos Pencils and colored the entire image with them. I then added some gold stickles drops around the flowers and a little tail on the butterfly.
My second card was printed on Strathmore grey paper. I LOVE how light this paper is and is so perfect for the printer. It doesn’t get jammed and will go through very easily. This paper comes a bit larger so you will have to trim it to fit through the printer.
Winsor & Newton Gouache was used to create these rich and bold blue daisies! I love how gouache paints so vividly especially when used on colored cardstock.
My last card was printed onto Strathmore Kraft Paper. I am also using some Polychromos pencils to color the daisies. After coloring the daisies, I then added some Stickles to my cardstock.
I hope you have enjoyed todays cards and I also hope you have enjoyed coloring the freebies as well. If you haven’t signed up for our newsletter, please sign up here. I will be back on Friday with a Big Wonderful card. This set is also our feature set this week for only $5! I will see you then!
With paper hugs and love, Joanna
