Hello my sweet friends! Today I am announcing the winner of our super giveaway! We are so excited to announce that…
Is our winner! Helen please email me with your address and we will get this in the mail to you!
This past Saturday, I released this fun newsletter freebie! A super easy and fun image to color with Copics or Watercolors. If you haven’t signed up for our newsletter, please do so here! Every other week, I release a new freebie to color. So make sure to sign up!
If you signed up AFTER Saturday, you will receive the freebies on August 19th. This is when our next newsletter is due to hit your inbox. Thanks for your understanding! Now onto my card…
To begin, I printed my image on regular 80lb cardstock. This is slightly lighter then the base cardstock that I use because of it getting jammed in the printer. It also has a tendency to bleed through the paper when using Copics so please put a piece of scrap paper under while coloring. 🙂
I used Copic markers, which I have listed below, to color my lemons. I started with coloring one of the lemons with the lightest yellow color. While the ink was still wet, I then applied a second layer of darker yellow. To achieve the texture, I then added little dots of the darker color in the darker area. Lastly, I went over the entire image one more time with the lighter color. Make sure to only do one lemon at a time to achieve the best blending of colors.
Remember this card from our release a few weeks ago? I just finished a video tutorial on how to watercolor this card. I have shared the new card today on my Instagram page. I can’t wait to share the video with you!
A very special thank you to everyone that participated with our blog candy! Thank you! I will be back a few more times this week with a bit more inspiration as well. Have a great week!
