Hi everyone and welcome to a new tutorial. Today I am sharing a step by step tutorial on how to color these beautiful cherry blossoms. This is a basic watercolor project using only 3 watercolors and two brushes. Please make sure that you invest in some Arches hot press watercolor paper. This will give you the best results and is specifically made for botanical projects.
A note about the picture above. On the right, I applied three layers to my cherry blossoms and on my left I did two layers that I did in the video. Can you tell a difference? Watercolors always dry slightly lighter so it is so important to create layers and layers of watercolors. This gives you that bright and bold colors that you will see on the right of my card.
