Hi all, it’s Vicki. Today I am using the new Ranger Oxide Inks to make a background panel for my card. These inks are pretty awesome.
Here is the finished card:
To make the background, here are the steps;
Step 1 – Smash the inks onto your craft sheet.
Step 2 – spritzed with water so that the ink beads up
Step 3 – laying the DRY water color paper panel over the ink, lightly press into the inks ONCE.
HINT: Wet on wet will equal blending, wet on dry will equal a layer.
[For some blending, I did spray my panel with water and then I dried it]
HINT: Wet on wet will equal blending, wet on dry will equal a layer. Dry your layer with a heat gun, and repeat the process [layer upon layer] until you get the color you want. (I did add additional ink onto my craft work sheet to acheive the color vividness that I wanted.)
Here is the final panel:
These inks are awesome! And, the possibilities are endless. In my case, I went to [my friend] Pinterest for a card sketch, and completed my card using Inspired By Stamping’s Australian Nature, and embossed a sentiment from Words of Inspiration II on a piece of vellum.
Have you broken under the on-slot of blogs using the new Ranger Oxide Inks, and bought them? I am happy I did! They worked beautifully with Inspired By Stamping products. And, by the way – this is my first time using them!
See you next month~
