Happy New Year All – it’s Vicki here.  I am thrilled to let you know that Joanna has let me stay on the Design Team for another year!  Yes, I am pretty happy about that~ 🙂

For today’s card, I have made a subtle, water colored background panel.

Here is the finished card;

Inspired by Stamping, Vicki Dutcher, Garden Roses stamp set, Background Basics II stamp set, Fancy Labels 2 Die, Birthday Card

I started by stamping the furthest back panel with Background Basics 3.  Using another card sheet, I cut out my water color panel using the Fancy Labels Die 2.  Once cut, I just used my paint brush [heavily watered down] and watercolors.  Once I loaded up the brush with color, I touched the panel, so the color would pool.  I used 6 colors to cover the panel.  To make the colors more vivid, just let it dry and add more on top until you get the vividness you want.

Using the stamp set, Garden Roses, the SVG cut, and my MISTI, I stamped my rose image, and colored it with my Copics.

I attached all to my card, including that pretty Blue Ribbon Collection ribbon, and my card is done!  Another bright and fabulous card for someone in 2017!

See you next time~
