Today I am going to show you how to make a sentiment look 3D.  It works so awesome when having to mail since it is flat.

I used Inspired By Stamping Festive Greetings to make my tags.  See below for all other products needed to make this project.

Here is the finished project:

I made tags, but this will work for any sentiment project.

To acheive this look, here are the steps;

Step 1 & 2 – Stamp sentiment in any color you want.  Using Versamark, re-stamp just down and to the left a little bit.  Using Versamark again, re-stamp the original sentiment over the top.

Step 3 – Emboss with clear embossing powder [ forgot to take photo – whoops]

Step 4 – Stamp on the light image, and again, re-stamp with Versamark and emboss with clear powder.

Step 5 – Using a sponge applicator and a lighter color [I used Distress Tumbled Glass], sponge all over the tag.  This will bring out the “3D” effect, and not cover the colored lights [hence the embossing with clear powder].

Step 6 – To add some pop to the tags, I took a self made stencil, and using the same color Distress ink, I sponged over the stencil.

Once done, I took a paper towel and wiped off the embossed area. [This will take off any ink that might be there,]

My tags are done!

I hope you try this fun technique, it has such potential for projects/cards.  I am sure I will be using this in the future on an actual card too.

Until next time~
