Hi all Vicki here from All I Do Is Stamp. Today I am showing you Negative Space Coloring. I was drawn to this technique because all of us aren’t artists, and this is another way to “pretend” we are. 😉
Here is the finished card:
What do you think? Pretty isn’t it? I think so. 🙂
Step 1; Cut a small panel, stamp your image [I used Spring Bouquet] with versamark, and emboss. [I used gold embossing powder]
Step 2; Make a mask with post-it paper, making sure you have part of the image on the “sticky” part.
Step 3; Sponge on your ink. [I used Distressed inks since they blend so beautifully.]
Step 4; Here is the completed negative colored panel.
I went on to complete my card with some stitched framing, and a sentiment from Chalkboard Birthday.
I have to admit, I am loving this way of showing off the gorgeous images from IBS. An artist I am not, a pretend artist, yep, I am!
An artist or not, I hope you try this fun technique! Feel free to load it in Joanna’s Facebook Group, Inspired By Stamping Art Class.
See you next month~
