Hi all — Vicki here. I hope you all had a safe and happy New Year’s Eve. I’m still trying to wrap my mind around it being 2016!
For today’s small tutorial, I am making a fun shaped card/ tag, that is perfect for labeling those gift bags. For today’s project I used Butterflies [and svg cuts] along with Happy Occasions Sentiments. Here is the finished project:
To make this fun shaped card/ tag here are the steps:
Using my Silhouette [there are svg files to all IBS stamps sets], I offset the original outline of my butterfly a few times [for the different layers you see]. For my tag base, I merged two butterflies to make a solid double butterfly cut.
Using the original butterfly negative cut, and my MISTI, I was able to get the perfect stamped image onto the positive cut.
I then colored the image with my Copics
I adhered my colored image onto a black outline and adhered those onto the card/tag.
I went ahead and finished the inside too [card part ;)].
I punched a hole, added a tie, and my card/tag is ready for use~
Keeping in mind that all Inspired By Stamping stamp sets have svg cuts, you can make shaped card/tags out of any of the shaped images! How convenient [and fun] is that!
See you next time~
