Today I am showing you the beautiful Polished Stone Background technique.  It is perfect for a holiday card background.

Isn’t it pretty!  To get this background, follow the following steps;

Supplies needed; rubbing alcohol, ink refills [including gold], glossy card stock, cotton balls, and most importantly a glove [ask how I know that?]

After putting on your glove, dot the cotton ball with your inks (3-4 drops each), using the gold last, and then add a little rubbing alcohol.

Pounced the cotton ball over the glossy card stock.  The more you pounce, the better the design will be.

When using the rubbing alcohol, it dries really fast.  I love that!

Find a sketch, [or use your own], and finish putting your card together!

I used Inspired By Stamping Festive Greetings.  It is so awesome having the svg cuts – they make it so much easier to put together my card :).

This technique can be changed up easily, simply change your color combo – you can even try silver rather then gold.  Fun times!

See you next month~

    Beautiful card, Vicki! Love the gold touches you’ve added. You know, I have a tub of alcohol inks, applicators, etc., someplace! Thanks for reminding me to use them!
