Happy Wednesday! Lisa here sharing embossing and coloring on vellum with the Tulip Bouquet stamp set.
Let’s take a look at my card:
The image and sentiment are both from the Tulip Bouquet stamp set.
I stamped the floral bouquet with Versamark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. A tip when heat embossing (especially on vellum), let your heat gun warm up. I count to 20 before embossing.
The image was colored with a blender pen and Distress Inks (dye and/or craft ink can be used to color on vellum). For coloring small areas, you can take the ink directly from the ink pad with the blender pen. When coloring large areas, it is easier/quicker to use either reinkers or to ‘smudge’ your ink pads on a non-porous surface and pick the ink up with the blender pen.
A closer look at the embossed and colored image:
I snipped around the bow so it would hang over the frame.
Now, the inside of the card:
Have you tried embossing and coloring on vellum? It creates a soft and pretty look, plus it is quick to color!
Until next time…
