Happy Monday Friends and if you are in Australia, Happy Day Off today! Today in Australia we are celebrating the queens birthday. It’s been a lovely day painting and relaxing with the family.
This week we are focusing on thank you cards. We begin with beautiful cards by our Aussie gals, Kylie and Jo. Here’s Jo with her gorgeous cards!
For the first card I have used Distress Markers to colour in the the rose. I spread the distress marker colours with my aqua brush then fussy cut around the rose. I have placed the rose on a die cut circle which I then drew stitches with my white uniball pen maker.
I have used a curved stitched die cut with designer series paper placed on the white card base.
For the second card I have repetitively stamped with smaller rose with Onyx Black ink either side of the white card panel.
I have stamped the thank you sentiment with Onyx black ink on a circle die cut. The designer series paper has been placed in the centre panel of card base and have added some pennant flags either side of the sentiment circle die cut.
Hope you enjoyed these 2 cards.
Happy paper crafting peeps. Hugs Jo
Next up is Kylie featuring two new sets this month. Here’s Kylie…
Hi there everyone! I hope you are well 🙂 Thanks for joining us today as we show you Thank You cards!
I have used a new, fun set called Polka Dots.
To make this card I did quite a bit of masking.
First, I masked the area on the card where I wanted to stamp my sentiment. Then I started randomly stamping the polka dots in different colours.
The sentiment in this set is a block so I masked the ‘you’ and stamped ‘thank’ first. Then I repeated this step again but switching the mask.
Lastly, I scored lines above and below my sentiment.
Here is the set I used today
Thanks so much for looking xx
We will be back on Wednesday with a great tutorial by Nicole! Have a great few days. With paper hugs, Joanna
