Happy Friday Friends. Today we are sharing our last two release cads from Leah and Lisa. Both card are just beautiful! We begin with Leah’s lovely watercolored pear.
This pear image is so beautiful and is really fun to color. I heat embossed the image and sentiment in white on watercolor paper and then colored it using Tombow markers and a paint brush. For my background paper I wanted to pull out some of the same colors as I used with my pear and the Polka Dots set is perfect for fun background building.
I love how embossing in white really gives a fun pop to your colored image and that it gave a much cleaner look to overlapping the sentiment on the pear a bit. I hope you enjoyed my card today! Have a beautiful day.
Next up is Lisa with a beautiful beach card! Here’s Lisa…
“Hi Inspired by Stamping Friends! The May Release was so fabulous we are still celebrating this week with more inspiration for you. For my card today, I used both the Seaside and Seaside Sentiments stamp sets.
Take a look at my beach town card:
Kraft card stock was torn and sponged to create a sandy beach. I then stamped the grass and small seagull, both from the Seaside stamp set, in two different shades of brown, and the awesome sentiment, from the Seaside Sentiments stamp set, to coordinate with the card base. Isn’t this patterned paper with the houses and clouds perfect for a beach scene?!?!? A few flying seagulls, also from the Seaside stamp set, were stamped amongst the beach houses.
Here’s the inside:
I created another sandy beach for the inside of the card to coordinate with the front of the card.
If you haven’t grabbed the Seaside and Seaside Sentiments stamp sets yet, they are waiting for you in the Inspired by Stamping On-line Shop. Don’t forget, with a $50 purchase you receive the fun Polka Dots stamp set free!
Until next time…
Thank you to Lisa and Leah for such beautiful cards today. We will be back here next Monday. Our theme is thank you cards! Can’t wait to share what our lovely designers are working on. Have a great weekend! With paper hugs, Joanna xxx
