Yep, I’m in love with fruit at the moment. And If you follow me on Instagram, I’ve been sharing this lovely pear for a few weeks now. This pear is super fun to color with your markers or watercolors or you can also stamp multiple images to create gorgeous background paper.

Cut files are a must these days for our Silhouette Cameo or other cutting machine. And I have created two cut layers so that you can layer the pear.

Today, I grabbed some distress markers and colored it on watercolor paper. For lots of techniques on how to, check out our YouTube channel. It’s pear season here in Australia and I just happened to purchase Corella pears this week. And they are gorgeous in reds and greens as above.

After my watercolors dried, I stamped this “wonderful” sentiment using Memento Black ink over the pear. I then used our Washi Tape stamp set and then placed “daughter” over it with a piece of scrap paper. I then added some rhinestones randomly to my card.

For my next card, I again used distress markers and also Antique Line Distress Ink. Since beginning to color, I have found that I love white space more and more. It allows the watercolored image to stand out and shine. 🙂

After my pear dried, I added it to my card base with our White Crochet Tape. This fun birthday sentiment can also be found in this new stamp set. I then added some green rhinestones for a little extra touch.Inspired by Stamping, Joanna Munster, Sun-Ripened Pear stamp set, birthday card (3)

The pear is lovely. There is just something about pear images that is wonderful. I don’t know what it is but it seems to ooze peace, beauty, love and abundance. Absolutely gorgeous watercoloured samples.

Beautiful samples and a wonderful new stamps. The pear stamp is going to be one of those really useful stamps that we have to have because it’s ideal for many different themes, especially for those pesky men and I can see the pear being stamped and gilded for Christmas cards too. It will cover food themes, Christmas, suitable for male cards, great for the good cooks and chefs that we live with too, and for get well cards.

Inspired by Stamping constantly set trends and make sure that their stamps will always be useful and never date – thank you so much for that IBS!! Karen x
