We are back today with day 3 of summer cards. Today Kylie and Mynn are joining us with two fun cards!
Our newest IBSIC went live last Friday. Did you have a chance to hop on over to take a look at the inspirations? If not, please click here. This month we are giving away a $25 gift card to one randomly lucky winner.
We begin with Kylie today. I just love her gorgeous water scene! Here she is…
“Hi everyone! Haven’t the design team been creating the most amazing Summer Cards this week?
We are well into Autumn in Australia but luckily where I live it isn’t too cold. Let’s just say I can still walk around bare foot! 🙂
Here is my Summer card –
For my little panel, I used distress ink to colour the sea and then used a paint swatch for my sand. It has texture on it and really feels like sand.
My breaking wave froth was created by using True Snow. I applied it with a small brush.
My thongs (flip flops) were stamped and then fussy cut out. Where they are off the panel, I popped them up with foam pads.
I have used a really fun set from Inspired by Stamping to create this card – Summer Fun
I added the Hello and Summer onto the one acrylic block so I only needed to stamp once.
A few little sequins finished this off.
I hope you have been enjoying the cards being showcased all week.
Thanks so much for looking xx
Hi, all! I’m here today with a fun card using some wonderfully summery stamps from the Inspired By Stamping online store. I used a bright color combo and fun patterns on this one, and I think you’re going to like it! Come and take a peek…
I started by stamping the sentiment from the Summer Fun stamp set onto white cardstock. I used a bright turquoise and black for a more summery feel. Some baker’s twine and rhinestones to accent the sentiment.
Next, I die cut a circle out of the sentiment panel using the Fancy Labels 3 Dies. I stamped the palm tree image from the Summer Fun set onto some patterned paper and die cut that out with the same dies. I decided to do a spotlight on the image, so I popped up the sentiment panel with dimensional foam, and let the sentiment stay flat on the red and black matting.
I then layered the main panel onto a card base that was prepped with some green and white patterned paper. I really love these fun, bold colors, and fabulous patterns! What do you think? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! 🙂
THANK YOU so much for stopping by, friends! I hope you take some time to get crafty today, and that you grab these goodies from the Inspired By Stamping online store, too! Don’t forget to join our challenge and take a peek at the other creations today, too! Until next time, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! 🙂
We will be back tomorrow with two more summer cards! Have a lovely day. Joanna xx
