Welcome back! This week we are featuring summer cards with our designers! Haven’t they been just gorgeous?! Today, Jo and Lisa are here sharing two beautiful cards! Let’s get started with Jo!
This clean and simple card was fun to make. I used the “Celebrate 2 years” stampset as a fun summer card for the Inspired By Stamping Design Team.
To make the hot air balloons pop off the card I have used foam adhesives, I did the same with the designer series paper by cutting out extra clouds from the same paper collection too.
The ink colour combination used for this card is rosebud , aquamarine and chestnut roan.
Hemp twine has been added as an element on top of the card.
Next up Lisa has a great beach themed card featuring our Summer Fun stamp set! Love those Adirondack chairs! Here’s Lisa!
Hello Inspired by Stamping friends. Is it beach time yet?!?!? This week we are sharing summer inspiration. Today I have an easy-to-create beach scene card using the Summer Fun stamp set.
I started by tapping a wet brush with brown ink to make speckles on the ‘sand’ layer and sponged around the edges. Next I tore a piece of blue card stock, sponged around the edges, and added glitter along the ‘shore line.’ Hello and SUMMER, both from the Summer Fun stamp set, were stamped in dark brown ink. I used the coordinating Summer Fun cut file to cut the umbrella and then stamped it in a bright pink.
Let’s take a look at the inside:
The beach theme was continued on the inside by stamping the waves and palm tree, both also from the Summer Fun stamp set, and then lightly sponging.
I hope today’s card has gotten you thinking about summer. The Summer Fun stamp set sure is fun for creating summer-themed cards and projects.
Until next time…
We will be back tomorrow with a tutorial from Leah! Can’t wait to see what she has instore for us! Until then, have a lovely crafty day! With Paper Hugs, Joanna
