Happy Thursday my dear friends! Today we are back again with more summer projects from Leah and Marzena! We also want to remind you that our newsletter comes out tomorrow! If you haven’t already signed up you can do so here.
We begin with a lovely chalkboard effect summer project by Leah! Isn’t this just the neatest idea?! Here’s Leah with her project!
“Hello! This week we are sharing fun summery projects! I am back today with another summer card that uses the look of the ever popular chalkboard. I thought the high contrast would be a good play on all that summer brings.
I started with a piece of black cardstock and the Tropical Paradise set. I stamped my scene building images in Versamark ink and heat embossed in white. I go one image at a time so that I can see clearly and none of the embossing powder has a chance to fall off. For my sentiment and little detail I pulled out the Chalkboard Birthday set.
Since all my images are on black cardstock the perfect coloring medium was my Prismacolor pencils as the color really pops on dark papers. I like to blend my pencils using other pencils. I’ll start with the lighter color and then blend with a darker shade or just back over with the same lighter pencil. I hope you have a great rest of your day!
Hi there! Summer is coming!
Today it comes on my Summertime card made for IBS.
For this project I used sweet Summer Fun stamp set.
A special thank you to Leah and Marzena for creating with us. We will be back tomorrow with our last summer projects of the week and a brand new IBSI challenge! With paper hugs, Joanna xxx
