Welcome friends. This week we are showcasing our favorite Inspired by Stamping stamps! Each day we will be sharing 3D projects that are going to brighten your day! Today’s designs are from Lisa and Nupur.
Have you checked out our IBSI challenge this month? We hope you join us! Plus, we have a super great download for you to try on our newsletter this month.
We begin with a lovely gift bag and tag set by Lisa using one of our most popular sets, Beautiful Iris! Here’s Lisa with her gorgeous project!
“Hi Everyone! This week the DT is sharing their favorite Inspired by Stamping stamp set. I know, how is it possible to choose a favorite?!?!? As bearded irises are my favorite flower, it seems natural to say Beautiful Iris is my favorite stamp set.
Today I have a gift bag and tag set:
The beautiful iris image takes center stage on the front of the gift bag. I used the coordinating Beautiful Iris Cut File and shimmery card stock, then stamped and colored with alcohol markers. The two largest dies from Fancy Label Dies 2 create the popped-up mat and some White Fabric Tape decorates the top of the gift bag. You can see the seam binding from the tags peeking out from inside the bag.
To create the gift bag, you will need a piece of patterned paper cut at 9¾ x 6. Along the 9¾ side, score at 3¼, 4¾, 8, and 9½, and along the 6 side, score at 1½. Cut along the bottom score lines up to the 1½ score, and remove the ¼ tab. For the creases in the sides of the bag, score down 4 inches in the center of the two 1½ sections, then score a V from that point to the two bottom score marks. I hope that is clear! Now fold on all score lines and assemble using adhesive along the ¼ flap and bottom tabs. Finished size is 4½ H x 3¼ W x 1½ D. The ribbon for the handles was cut at 6 inches.
For the tags, I used the two largest Fancy Label Dies 2. I first stamped the sentiments, all from Beautiful Iris, then the irises. The seam binding, from the Spring Ribbon Collection, was cut at 10 inches. I think the tags could also be used as book marks.
I hope you enjoyed my project and give my tutorial for the gift bag a try. The bag itself can also be used for small gifts and/or chocolates.
Until next time…
Next up is Nupur with a lovely notepad set using our newest Butterflies stamp set! Here’s Nupur with her project!
“Hello friends… This week we are sharing our favorite IBS stamps… IBS has so many great stamp sets that it was a bit difficult to choose just one but I selected the Butterflies stamp set from the latest release.
I have made a Post-it-Notes holder using this stamp & the co-ordinating cut file from Butterflies Cut File. The little glittered banner tab on top is cut with Fancy Labels 3 Die. I have folded it & adhered on both sides of the top fold which keeps the stand from opening up falling…
I hope you like my project… thanks for visiting today…
Thank you so much everyone and a special thank you to Nupur and Lisa for creating with us. We will be having the day off tomorrow and will be back on Thursday. We will see you then. With paper hugs, Joanna
