Happy Friday crafty friends! Today we are showcasing masculine 3D projects. We hope you have enjoyed this week’s masculine theme and given you many ideas cards and 3D projects! We begin today with Vicki creating a fantastic box! Love the story too! Here’s Vicki!
“Hi all, Vicki here. Today we are making masculine projects. Sometimes I struggle trying to come up with ABC ideas [anything but a card], however, no problem today! My little story to set the stage. My husband takes aspirin for his heart – this is good. On the other hand, he bleeds like a stuck pig when he scratches or cuts himself, and the poor guy is always hurting himself! Hence, my project.
Here is the finished project;
I used Summer Postcards for the background stamping, Fancy Labels 3 stamped on vellum with Versamark and embossed with black powder. I cut out the shape with the matching die, Fancy 3 Die. I also used the newly released Butterflies [just to add a pop of color] and Honey Bee for the perfect sentiment!
I know it’s hard to tell just what it is, so here are some self explanation photos;
Still don’t see it? Here is my finished, finished project;
Yep, a [much needed] band-aid holder! 🙂 LOL – seriously, this is so going in his glove compartment in his truck. Hopefully I will no longer see bloodied towels and/or clothes! I know he is going to laugh, but will love it!
[HERE is the tutorial for making this slider box.]
See you in a couple~
Next up we have a gorgeous kookaburra watercolor project by Kylie! I adore how she put it in a frame. Such a fantastic idea to put in your office at work. Here’s Kylie.
“Hi everyone. We are showcasing Masculine projects this week at Inspired by Stamping and I have come up with a 3D project to share with you.
I must admit I was quite stuck as I rarely do masculine cards let alone 3D projects. Great way to get me out of my comfort zone!!
I have created a watercoloured kookaburra and then framed it.
I started by embossing my kookaburra with black powder onto watercolour paper and using SU! inks, used a brush to add my colour.
I dried the paint between washes to create different layers of colour.
I really had fun making this little fella and it would be very easy to create a gift box to pop the frame into.
Thanks so much for looking xx
We hope you have a wonderful weekend. We will be back on Monday. Next week our designers are focusing on their favorite IBS stamps! It will be a fun week! Can’t wait! See you then, With paper hugs, Joanna xxx
