This weekend, I personally was away from my computer on holidays with my hubby. Our Saturday Designer link was not the correct one and without any internet until Monday evening I was unable to and was unaware of the problem. I am truly sorry for this. If you would like to visit Jo’s blog and see her tutorial please click here. We will also be featuring her on April 20th for those that wanted to see her post. Thanks for the understanding and for all the emails letting me know about the problem.
We begin today’s post with a gorgeous set of thinking of you cards by Jo using our Masculine Tags sets! These are just so fantastic! Here’s Jo with her cards.
“Today’s card set is all about “Thinking About You” for the males. I don’t know about you but I find Masculine Cards are the most challenging to make. I have to plan and play with inks, cards and paper to co-ordinate with the stamps for just one card.
I ended up making 3 cards and turning them into a set as I loved the contemporary feel of the stampset and designer paper so much.
To add pops of colour I used Distress Inks as I feel this bring out the colours of the designer series paper.
For the black Ink I used my favourite Versafine Onyx Black.
To help define the paper and the inks I used strips of Black cardstock. All card bases are white for a clean and simple look.
The stampset used for this set is ” Masculine Tags”. You can see that you can make this stampset your own.
Next up Marzena has created a fantastic brown and black thinking of you card. I love all the details in her card today. Here’s Marzena!
This is my Masculine card made with IBS stamps.
The card is simple with dark calm colors, I guess is great for a boy 🙂
On the background and inside the watch I stamped some chevrons from Pretty Planners stamp set.
The main sentiment is made from Spring Bouquet stamp set.
A special thank you to Jo and Marzena for creating with us today. We will be back tomorrow with a great tutorial by Nicole! I can’t wait to see what she’s created for us! Have a wonderful crafty day. With paper hugs, Joanna xxx
