Hello IBS friends! I hope you’ve had an amazing weekend. This week we are focusing on masculine cards and projects. It’s all about the guys! Today we are featuring Donna and Irit with two fantastic birthday cards.
But first, I was scheduled to announce the winner on today’s post. Unfortunately, I will have to announce it on Tuesday’s post. So if you want, you can still leave a comment here.
Now onto Irit’s amazing masculine card!
Inspired by Stamping Masculine Birthday card April 13

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Today I am going to share my new masculine Birthday card and as hard as it is to make masculine cards, it’s pretty easy if you have some of Inspired by Stamping most gorgeous Masculine sets.
I used Guy Sentiments set for this card and I used it twice.
First I made book shaped die cuts with 2 frames and two inside parts: one in cream and one in black.
Then I stamped the same sentiment once with white heat embossing and once with black permanent ink and arranged both frames and stamped sentiments over the Kraft card.
I added a simple stamped masculine image from the same set on the bottom and embellished with a few black and white Candi embellishments .
I think that Kraft, cream and black make the perfect masculine color scheme and we don’t need to look for any patterned paper or more masculine images to make a lovely card for our masculine Birthday boys (adult boys anyway).
Next up we have Donna with another great masculine card!
Hello! Donna here, showing you a masculine birthday card. This is a case where the designer paper inspired me. It looked like a sunset over winter snow.
The Masculine Tags II stamp set had this wonderful image of the lone wolf with the mountains behind. Living in Colorado, this image spoke to me! With a cardstock flag to anchor the image and a sentiment from the Birthday Greetings any man would enjoy the scenic beauty on this card! Masculine cards don’t always have to be browns or subdued blues. Bright colors can work too. Just keep the embellishments to a minimum.
We will be back tomorrow with Masculine thinking of you cards with Jo and Marzena. We will see you then! With paper hugs, Joanna xxx
