Welcome back! Over at Inspired by Stamping we are concentrating on CAS Masculine cards today.
Here is my card –
I have created a nice little seaside scene by masking and sponging inks.
Firstly, I added my post it note to mask the top of my card where the sky would be. I started sponging with Memento Summer Sky and then added Danube Blue for extra depth.
The grass was created with Memento Bamboo leaves. I didn’t mask off where the grass and sea met. I just took care and made sure that my lightest colours were towards the middle of the card.
I removed my post it note and used the same blues for my sky.
I have used the new release stamps – Tropical Paradise which have been inspired by my home state of Queensland.
This is the perfect card for any man! I decided that I would place a sentiment on the inside of my card when the time comes to send this one off. I also didn’t want to distract from my seaside scene.
Thanks so much for stopping by today
Next up is Lisa using one of our classics stamps, Ahoy, Matey! I love her colors that she is using today! Here’s Lisa!
Hi Everyone! Today we are featuring Clean and Simple Masculine cards. I rarely create CAS cards and I must admit that I find masculine cards challenging. Luckily, one of my favorite Inspired by Stamping sets, Ahoy, Matey, is perfect for masculine cards!
Let’s take a look at my ‘not totally’ CAS masculine card:
I really like triple time stamping. Have you tried it yet? You need three pieces of card stock for stamping, 2 x 3¼, 3 x 4¼, and 4 x 5¼. The three pieces were centered on top of each other using repositionable adhesive. I then randomly stamped the compass and star, both from the Ahoy, Matey stamp set, in two different shades of blue. Each stamped piece then gets matted on card stock cut at 2¼ x 3½, 3¼ x 4½, and card base 4¼ x 5½. I couldn’t help adding a little ribbon to my masculine card!
Here is the inside:
I hope you enjoyed today’s card and give triple time stamping a try.
I had a few requests from crafters that the video I shared was too fast. So I uploaded a new video that shows how I colored it from start to finish in a slower version. No talking just coloring! You can view it here on our youtube channel and I also added it to yesterday’s post.
We will be back tomorrow with more clean and simple cards. Don’t forget to leave a comment below too! See you tomorrow, with paper hugs, Joanna
