Hello! Nicole here and today I am sharing fun way to watercolor images from Inspired By Stamping stamp sets. I wanted to share a way to use a mix of new and old stamps to get more use out of wonderful images you already have one hand. And, play with the new images at the same time! I’ve been really wanting to play with hummingbird images and was very excited to use the Hummingbirds stamp set that was released few weeks ago. There are different sized hummingbirds so I get to play with them over and over!

For today’s card, I used Hummingbirds, Spring Lilacs, and Cherish Stamp Sets – I love using different elements from various sets to create a card together. Isn’t is great that Inspired By Stamping designs awesome images that are “interchangeable”? I love when companies do that for us!

I used Distress Inks and Markers to create today’s project. If you watch the video tutorial above, you will be able to check out the colors I used. If you are new to watercoloring, I highly recommend trying out the technique with Distress Inks first. It is very forgiving and easy to work with! First, I used some of Distress Inks to lay down the base colors and let the layer dried. After that I went back to the image with Distress Markers to add some details. You can control the color intensity by adding more colors, or you can add more water to soften out the image to your liking.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project! Thank you so much for watching my video tutorial and stopping by.

Hugs,

Nicole

Another awesome watercolour inspiration post! I already had a go myself last week-end but had to bin the result.
