Happy Monday crafty friends! Are you ready for a great week here at Inspired by Stamping? I have a video coming on Wednesday! Whoo Hoo! Today, Jo and Lisa are sharing gorgeous Masculine cards using our Australian bird stamp set. Let’s get started with a gorgeous card by Jo!

Hi All, for you today I have a  Masculine Kookaburra birthday card.  This card is featuring two of the January Release stamp set Australian Birds & Background Basics Lines.

To make this card I have created my own background using the Background Basics Lines stampset. The ink colour combination to for the plaid background used is Butter Bar, Orange Soda, Soft Granite & Cup O’Joe.

Cardstock colour combination is Naturals Ivory (Base), Daffodil delight , Smokey Slate and Very Vanilla (Centre Panel).

The Kookaburra image & sentiment has been stamped with Chestnut Roan.

To embellish the card I have used a daffodil delight stitched grosgrain ribbon and brads.

I hope this inspires you to create your background as an added feature on your cards.

Next up we have a fabulous pop-out swing card by Lisa! This is such a great masculine card! Here she is!

Hi Everyone! Today I have a fancy-fold card using the Kookaburra image from the new release Australian Birds stamp set.The images in this set make it easy to create masculine cards!

Take a look at my pop-out swing card:

The Kookaburra image was stamped in dye ink, then colored with pencils and baby oil. I die-cut the image and lightly sponged it. After die-cutting the opening, I embossed the front of the card with a wood grain embossing folder. The same die was used for the matting layer of the stamped image.

Now you can see the pop-out swing part:

I used two sentiments from Teeny Tiny Greetings. This set is full of sentiments that can be used alone or combined, as I did today.

The card is a standard 5½ x 4¼. The card stock for the inside was cut at 5 x 6 and scored at 2 and 4. Adhere the right panel, fold the card closed, then adhere the stamped/matted piece through the front opening.

Until next time…
