Happy Thursday crafty friends! We hope you are having a great week! Today Vicki and myself are sharing a few projects using our new stamps.
We have been adding new product to our clearance page this week and will be continuing to add a few more items over the next few weeks. These have been going very quickly and there are many stamp sets that are available for a great bargain, especially if you live in the USA.
We begin with a beautiful 3D project by Vicki featuring our new Hummingbird stamp set!
Sometimes, it is just fun to make something other then a card. Today I am showing you a fun and usable project I made.
A photo cube pin holder that I am now using by my sewing machine. Those pins won’t fall on the floor now!
I started with a 2″ cube box that I made from black card stock. I square punched some photos my sister sent me of our relatives, and distressed the edges with some ink for a vintage look, I adhered these to another square punched paper from A Spooky Halloween Digital Paper, and finally adhered onto the cube.
I needed some color, so I pulled out the fun Hummingbird Set and colored it as bright as I could [using Copics], cut it out and adhered it to the top of my cube.
I glued the cube to a base, and made a 4″ bigger base covered with a piece of printed paper from A Spooky Halloween Digital paper.
I adore making projects that I can actually use!
See you later~
I have been practicing still on watercoloring with our distress markers. You’re probably wondering why?! Well next week, I will be sharing a watercolor video tutorial! So practice, practice, practice! If you have a favorite set from this release that you’d like me to share how to color with distress markers, let me know.
Here’s a great close-up on our Spring Bouquet set. I used Tombow and Distress markers again. I stamped my image first and then increased the size on the computer to make my flowers a 4×6 size! I then did the no line technique that Leah has shared with us.
Here’s another angle of my bouquet. A super fun bouquet to color. I hope that you enjoyed today’s project. I will creating lots in February with tutorials, cards and lots more from myself. I am looking forward to it!
Did you see our FB & Instagram post yesterday? I am working on our March release! Can’t wait to share with you what I have been working on all week! So fun!
We will be back tomorrow with more inspiration! Kendra and Mynn are stamping on vellum!
With paper hugs, Joanna xx
