Here’s today’s stamp set in full detail!
Introducing our new Hummingbirds stamp set! This set is a 4×6 and comes with three different and unique hummingbirds, a fuchsia and two different size petunia flowers.
I absolutely loved drawing these new stamps this month. These hummingbirds create the most beautiful images as you will see below. I drew them specifically for coloring with watercolors or any form of coloring. Each stamp is outlined and drew the darker highlights on the stamp for easy coloring.
This set also comes with a coordinating cut file for only .99c!
Now lets get onto the designs by myself, Mynn & Kendra featuring this new stamp set!
Some of you saw lots of sneak peeks on our Instagram page the last few months while I drew and even painted these images. This set is my new all time favorite. Coloring the hummingbirds and flowers are so much fun! I began by coloring my fuchsia flowers with only Tombow markers. Super easy coloring and the watercolor effect looks like I spent hours coloring! Nope only about 5 minutes.
Because I wanted to color the flowers and hummingbird a bit darker, I stamped them with a darker ink and used Old Paper Distress Ink for these. I watercolored the hummingbird with Winsor & Newton colors using Turquoise, Burnt Sienna, Violet and Payne’s Grey.
Love, love, love the new sentiments this month! This new sentiment can be found in the our Spring Bouquet stamp set that we will be featuring on Friday! After watercoloring my stamp, I layered it on black card stock. This will be going to my littlest daughter who has been asking me for a watercolor picture the last few months.
Like I stated, this is my first attempt at no lines watercoloring. I started by stamping the hummingbird and flower images from the Hummingbirds stamp set onto water color paper. I then watercolored them using Distress Markers and then filled in the background as well.
We will be back tomorrow! We are introducing our new Australian Birds stamp set! See you then! With Paper Hugs, Joanna
