Hey there crafty friends! Happy Sunday! My favorite day of the week, our Sunday Designer Feature, where I get to pop in and share what our amazing designers have been working on this week! And again the inspirations are amazing! Let’s get started!
Be still my heart but I am in love with watercoloring our stamp sets! Eeek! So many sets that I just can’t wait to play with them all. If you follow me on Instagram you can see all our sneak peeks & a few naughty purchases too. LOL! Plus this week I got 8 inches of hair cut off!! First time in years! You can check it out there too.
I recently purchased water color paper. Just a tip before you begin, make sure you don’t by the cheap stuff. It doesn’t work and I don’t want you wasting your money as I have trying to save a few dollars. :/ My watercolor paper is 4” x 5 1/2”. I then used white embossing powder with our Australian Nature I butterfly.
My sentiment can be found in our Sweet Pea stamp set.
I used my Tombow Markers for watercoloring the butterflies and then simply adding water to each butterfly spreading the ink. I am currently making a video for next year with all the tips and tricks on creating this card. So stay tune!
For my second card today, instead of using embossing powder, I used Memento black ink. After stamping the ink, I also went over it again with a heat gun just to make sure the ink didn’t run.
I used the same technique as above but I noticed that the colors stay inside the lines with the embossing butterflies in the above card. And with this card, you must color a bit more carefully.
My sentiment for this card can be found in our Words Of Inspiration stamp set. I love how the front of this card can be framed after the recipient receives it. I think I might go buy a little frame for this card.
I hope you have enjoyed today’s inspiration. Now onto our fabulous designers with their amazing cards!
We hope that you have enjoyed today’s inspirations! We will be back tomorrow for more ideas and inspirations. It is our last week too before we go on holidays!
