Hello Inspired By Stamping Friends!
Kendra here to share this week’s Whoo Hoo Tutorial!!
Recently I was working with the Fancy Label Dies 1 and was wishing the largest die would be just a little larger so that I could use it as my main card base. Well after looking at it for a little big I figured out that I could make it larger on my own!!
Bigger Die Cuts
Die Cutting Machine
Not many supplies needed! You will also need the stamps and embellishments you may want to use to finish the card up!
1. Start by cutting a piece of paper to the size you would roughly like your card base to be.
2. Now is time to add the die and paper into your die cutting machine. Have the top part of the die on top of the paper so that the cutting edge will cut the paper. The rest of the paper should be above the die, so that it does not cut the paper. (See picture below)
3. Run through machine.
4. Now time to do the same to the other side of the paper. I decided to use the rounded side of the die again, so each end matched.
Simple! And very fun, to create larger shapes out of your dies!
Here’s a look at the difference:
The white die cut is the original cut and the blue is the one I created! A lot bigger! Perfect for making my own card base now!
Here is the card I created:
I just LOVE how it turned out!!
Be sure to look at your dies differently for now on! 😉
