We begin with today’s gorgeous easel card by Jo! Isn’t this just gorgeous?! Love all her details! Take it away, Jo!
“Hi crafting peeps, Jo here, I have 2 cards for you today.
The first card I heat embossed using white embossing powder on water colour smooth cardstock. To colour the Aster flower I have used distress mini inks Picked Raspberry & Peacock Feathers with my aqua brush. I generously saturated the water colour cardstock around the aster and applied Tumbled Glass distress ink for a light blue back ground wash effect.
I have faux stitched using my white gel pen on the sides of the center panel.
For the second card I have copic coloured the Aster stamp set. The image was stamped using Desert Sand momento Ink on X-Press It Copic blending cardstock. Colour.
Thanks for stopping by and please leave me a comment on my blog –
Next up is Lisa with a lovely easel card with a full year calendar and post it notes! Isn’t this just the cutest!! Oh wow! Here’s Lisa!
Hi Everyone! Lisa here with a special easel card using the Flower of the Month: Aster stamp set. The ‘special’ part is that this easel card is designed to be used on your desk throughout the year. I have included a tear-off full-year calendar and pack of post-it notes.
So, let’s get started!
My easel card is a generous size, measuring 5½ x 5½. After stamping and coloring the beautiful Aster image, I used dimensionals to attach it to the easel.
The ‘On This Day’ sentiment is from the versatile Pretty Planners stamp set. It seemed an appropriate sentiment to go along with the calendar.
The post-it notes hold the easel upright.
Now comes the tough part—do I keep this for myself or give it to a dear friend whose birthday is in January?!?!?
I hope you enjoyed my special easel card. This is a great project to make as a gift (or to keep for yourself!). Until next time…
