Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome!
Today I am going to show you my new Christmas card made with October release new set from Inspired by Stamping: Build a stocking set. I made this card in very traditional Christmas colors of red- green and gold and I alsoi added a sentiment from the new Big Holidays set and some greenery from Christmas wreath set.
I used gold glitter as my background and then stamped inside the stocking with gold heat embossing. The sentiment was stamped in the same way and the stocking itself was heat embossed with black powder and made 3d kind. Some green and red pearls were my final touch for this card.
Next up is Lisa with a gorgeous Christmas screen card! Here’s Lisa!
Hi Everyone! Lisa here and I am so excited to be featuring the new Build a Stocking stamp set on my first-ever screen card. So, let’s take a look:
I started with a piece of card stock cut at 5½ x 11 and scored at 2¾, 5½, and 8¼. I used the smallest of the Fancy Label Dies 1 to cut along the bottom. The white card stock panels measure 2 x 4¼ and the red mats measure 2¼ x 4½.
The holly leaves and berries are two independent stamps, making it a breeze to stamp them in green and red.
It was fun creating this scene. I first stamped the deer, then masked him to stamp the two trees, using a dark and light green ink to create depth. The snowflakes are also part of the Build a Stocking stamp set.
I chose a sentiment from the new Sugar & Spice stamp set.
Though today’s card is a Christmas card, the new 17-piece Build a Stocking stamp set has many images that will take you beyond holiday stamping.
I hope you enjoyed my screen card and are inspired by try one yourself.
Thank you so much for stopping by! We hope you joined us this month for our challenge! We will be back tomorrow with a fabulous tutorial by Nicole! See you then! Happy Stamping! Joanna
