IBS - 20141029-1

Hello! Nicole here with a brand-new card and a brand-new video tutorial! Today I wanted to share a fun way to color in outlined images using Poinsettias Stamp Set. Inspired by Stamping just released this set along with other holiday sets and I wanted show a way to really pop out the poinsettias. This projects also shows a great way to stretch your pigment ink pads. So let’s get started!

I started by stamping two poinsettias onto the white cardstock. And then I colored in the poinsettias using some pigment ink pads and a tool called Fantastix. They are perfect tools to color in images using any ink pads you have. You can use q-tips but the Fantastix have a pointy end so it is really easy to get into tricky areas. You can also use dye ink pads if you do not have pigment ink pads to use.

We love to pop out our images by adding some 3D foam tapes. This time I went with a different direction and popped out the negative part of the die cut. So the main image would be flat and the other part of the image would be popped out. This creates a fun dimension onto the card and grabs attention really easily.

I also heat embossed the sentiment from the Poinsettias Set using some gold embossing powder. Finishing touch is done by adding few of the clear and gold sequins.

I hope you enjoyed today’s video tutorial! Please visit my blog to see the full supplies list on today’s card. I will be back soon with another tutorial to share. Happy Stamping!

Creating and popping up a frame is a great idea to add something to the stamping. I am taking notes as I won this stamp set during the Sneak peeks week! Loved the video too…
