Now that we have made the formal introductions of this fabulous set, let’s get onto our fabulous designers Leah and Vicki and myself! First up is the talented designer Vicki! Take it away Vicki!
“Hi everyone, Vicki here. Are you have a great time with the October Release? I have been designing cards everyday to share over on my blog too! However, for today’s card featuring Poinsettias, it’s here.
I also went on to make a white poinsettia using light colored water coloring. So fun to color these flowers!
Enjoy the next 2 days! It’s a fabulous release~
Next up, Leah has a gorgeous shimmery gold poinsettia using gold embossing! We love her gorgeous rhinestones for the center too!
For my poinsettia I first started with embossing it with gold powder on vellum. I then stamped and colored one on white cardstock and layered the vellum flower on top. I found that liquid glue and vellum don’t mix well, it makes the vellum buckle. So I used small pieces of Scor tape. I added the beautiful sentiment also in the set and matted it on a Fancy Labels 3 die and stamped the coordinating frame for it using the Fancy Labels 3 stamp set.
Some sewing, a big sparkly brad and a few leaves finish this non-traditionally colored card. I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by today!
Next up, I have a couple of cards to share with this great set!
I created this poinsettia stamp set to create a large poinsettia that would be our main focal point of our card. I also wanted to be able to dress it up with color or leave it plain. I am not much of a colorer so I wanted something that would do both. I hope I created that effect with this new set.
I wanted to make the poinsettia gold but I didn’t have any gold embossing! Yikes! Some is on it’s way now so I went for Silver embossing, which I was amazed how good it turned out! Plus, the cut files makes it super easy to stamp and create. Love those files!
To create the sentiment, I used our Fancy Labels 2 Die. After cutting it out, I then stamped these little snowflakes from our Elegant Christmas Sentiments set and then the “Noel” is from our Christmas Greetings stamp set.
My second card shows how beautiful it does look with a bit of Copic Marker coloring. The poinsettia looks so pretty both ways. To create a bit more depth to my card, I used our new Christmas Wreath stamp set for those gorgeous evergreen leaves. It’s also our free stamp of the month starting Friday!
This lovely Christmas sentiment is from our Christmas Greetings set. Can you believe that this set is 3 years old this month and still one of our top sellers!
For my final touches, I added a great border and along the bottom and also added some IBS White Crochet Tape.
We are so excited to have these ladies create some extra cards with us using this set! Please hop on over to their blog and leave a comment.
