Now, let’s get onto some great cards using our Diamonds set! We begin today with a lovely card by Vicki! What a great technique and her colors are perfect for autumn.
I directly stamped the card base background with Background Basics III polka dots. For my focal panel, I water colored it with distress inks, let it dry, and then I stamped the diamond shapes and added my sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments. A perfect card to go with a get well gift for my sister, who is having foot surgery.
I just love making cards that I actually need. 🙂 This is going to a fabulous cause, my sis
See you in a couple of weeks ~
Next up is Jo with a beautiful layout featuring our diamonds set! Isn’t this just gorgeous?! Here’s Jo with her scrapbook layout!
Hi Jo here. Thanks for stopping by. I am first and foremost a card maker , however when I first saw the Diamonds stamp set I was inspired to do a page with it. It has been a while since I have created a page in fact this is the first one for the year. Ummm maaaaa I hear you say ? Yes I know, so I hope you like the end result. I had so much fun creating all the little elements in creating this page.
Each diamond was stamped on a vanilla cardstock with smokey slate ink and was individually cut out a diamond at a time. I then sponged all sides with the smokey slate ink to darken the edges.
For the borders I have used a border punch, punching directly on the gray cardstock and have place a strip of already punched out border pink cardstock behind it to create an extra layer. All edges have been sponged with gray ink. This is matted on a sponged white 12 x 12 card stock. I have cut out the “girls “wording with my cameo. To make the cut out shimmery I have brushed it with black Stella wink .
If you look closely I have used another Inspired by Stamping stamp as extra layers through out the page. I have used the “Friends Forever“stamp set. You can see I lightly stamped the script stamp in smokey slate and the brushstroke stamp in blushing bride. The have used my white Stella wink pen to brush outside the diamonds to help the diamonds stand out a little more.
If you wish to see the in depth details of the page please visit my blog here.
We’d like to say a special thank you to our designers for creating such great inspirations using our stamps today.
