Jo has created a beautiful card using our Australian Nature I stamp set! We are swooning over her coloring on the orchid and lovely extra large tag. Here’s Jo with her card!
Hi lovely paper crafting peeps! Jo here. Can you tell which stamp set I have used for this card? It’s already been featured here a couple of times on our blog….
You guessed it, it’s from the September release “Australian Nature”.
In this card I have created my own background design by repeat stamping on a vanilla cardstock. I like to call this technique “Faux Designer Paper”.
I used a Blushing Bride Ink and Cardstock to mat my Faux Designer Paper and stamped coloured image.
The main stamped image I have used Vintage Sepia ink as I find this ink does not smear or run like a normal dye ink as it is a pigment ink and therefore is great to use to water colour with.
I only have a couple of gelatos sets in my collection and to colour this image I have used the Metallic set.
I have used a water colour cardstock and an aqua brush to pick up colour from the gelatos directly and then placed my aqua brush on the card stock to colour.
If you look closely I have also splattered the gelatos colour on the stamped image to create an imperfect look.
The sentiment was stamped using the Cute Circles stamp set from Inspired By Stamping.
The sentiment has been punched out using the label punch.
I have dry embossed only half of the vanilla cardstock and have used the below ribbon and crochet trim to cover up the join. Some sponging has been done throughout the card which I have used a crumb cake ink to do so.
Next up is the talented designer Kylie with a gorgeous purple and yellow Aster card! It is just so pretty and we love all the details and layers of her card!
“Hi everyone and thanks so much for popping by.
Here is my card –
I started by embossing the flowers with white powder. Using Distress Inks and a cotton bud, I applied the colour. Then I fussy cut it out.
By adding the ink with the cotton buds, I was able to have good control over where I wanted my colour. I could even get a bit more definition by adding more colour in spots where I wanted shading.
The bottom panel looks very dark (nearly black) in my photos but it is a deep shade of purple.
Isn’t the Aster just beautiful!
The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Greetings set and was embossed with white powder.
Well, I bet you have been amazed by all the New Release sets you have seen over the last few days. I have been very excited to use them and hope to provide a little inspiration.
Thank you to everyone for stopping by today! We will be back tomorrow with beautiful inspirations from the designers! Have a wonderful crafty day! With Paper Hugs, Joanna xx
