Now that you are seen our newest addition to the Inspired by Stamping family, let’s get onto today’s inspirations by Nicole and myself!

IBS - 20140924-1

Hello, stampers! Nicole here and I am  uber excited to share a quick card featuring our brand-new Diamonds Stamp Set! Joanna did another amazing job creating this month’s release with all the stamp sets you are going to see throughout the week. This Diamond stamp set may be smaller than other sets we have, but it is packed with so much goodies, you would not want to miss it! Before I share a bit more details about the card, make sure you check out the video tutorial below so you can see how this card comes to life!

I decided to create a fun background using one of the images from the set – I chose the diamond with polka dots and also chose multiple colors of green, mint, and blue color families. All the ink pads I used on this project are from Simon Says Stamp. If you never tried the background stamping technique, I highly recommend you give it a try. This will give you more depth and interest to a card layer when you using multiple colors for a WOW effect. As you can see in the picture above, I did not measure or draw any lines before stamping – with clear stamp set it is easy to see where you are stamping and no one would know they are not on a perfect line! I think by naturally stamping it gives more fun look to it.

 IBS - 20140924-2

After finishing the background, I took out this beautiful sentiment from the brand-new Autumn Blessings stamp set to create a clustered sentiment look on the card. I stamped the greeting with Versamark Ink and heat set it with Primary Ebony Embossing Powder from WOW. (I used the regular instead of super fine) For the finishing touch, I colored my white pearls with blue and green colors using Copic markers – B95, B99, and BG45. Having alcohol based markers are great since you can custom color any white rhinestones and pearls!

I hope you enjoyed today’s video tutorial. Thank you so much for stopping by and happy stamping!

Today, I have a few cards to share with this fun filled set! My first card features the Diamond Plate and Diamond stamp set.

I first layered the diamond background with light blue card stock. I love how it just pops with the white diamond plate. I then lifted it up on dimensionals.

Big Wishes II came in handy for an extra large sentiment. The white cardstock is from the stitched frames that is a free download when you sign up to our newsletter. The navy blue ribbon was a perfect addition to my card and it can be found from the Blues Ribbon Collection.

My second card is truly a CAS (clean and simple) card using only two stamp sets. Super quick and I love the clean masculine feel of it.

I used the Diamond Cut file to cut out the little diamonds first and then stamped each diamond in purple, brown, green and light craft color. I then made the pattern and adhered it to the card.

Here’s a little sneak peek of an upcoming stamp set on Friday called Teeny Tiny Greetings.

For this card, I decided to make a fun girl birthday card using pink, yellow and turquoise colors.

I started with kraft cardstock and then placed my diamond plate on top of it. Next, I stamped pink and turquoise diamonds.

Stitched Frames was used again for the base of my extra large sentiment from Big Wishes II. The polka dot border and banner can be found in our Pretty Planners set. Don’t forget about the cute ribbon & bow from our Blues Ribbon Collection.

All of these are gorgeous Joanna! Love the dotty diamond stamp and it will look fabulous on many different creations with lots of different inks. I even think the males in our family would love the blue first one and the third one as they are so CAS without being dull. The second and fourth will be beautiful for a BFF! Gorgeous stamps, looking forward to seeing more stunning DT creations Karen x

  3. Chrissie says:

Love the Diamond stamps set, a great set to build your own background. Love the cut file too, alas I have no machine to cut with!
