Happy Thursday! Did you check my #tbt (throw back Thursday) card on Facebook or Instagram today? How fun to find cards and projects from 2011 when we first started Inspired by Stamping! Can you believe it has been over 3 years! Wow! How time flown! What a great 3 years!
Today, Kylie and myself are sharing friendship cards featuring a few of our older sets. Kylie is up first with this gorgeous card using our IBSI challenge! We love her color choices and isn’t that doily just beautiful?! Here’s Kylie with her card!
Hi everyone, Kylie here. I have used our current monthly challenge (IBSIC #85) to help inspire you today. I have used the Colour and Chevrons for inspiration.
My background was creating using a Chevron Stencil and sponging ink over the panel. I immediately grabbed the Fancy Labels 2 stamp set as one of the frames comes complete with Chevrons! I used the co-ordinating dies for this one – Fancy Labels 2 Dies.
I love how well we can co-ordinate our IBS stamps. I stamped the sentiment from the new Friends Forever set and then die cut it using a small die from the Fancy Labels 2 set. I popped it up with some foam tape for interest.
You can see in the photo below just how well these dies line up with their stamps.
The finishing touch was bakers twine wrapped around the panel and tied off in a bow.
The completed panel has been popped up with foam tape.
I hope I have inspired you to play along in our monthly challenge – it runs until the 15th of September so make sure you get your entry in.
Next up, I have a card for a special friend that is going through a hard time lately. It is always so hard to see someone you love struggle and the least I can do is let her know that I am there for her. What better way then make a card from the heart. This is what I created.
For my card today, I used our new free newsletter cut file download called stitched frames. A variety of frames & labelds with stitching all around the edges. This download will be available on Sept 15th.
Next, I stamped the sentiments from our Amazing Inspirations stamp set. The little red hearts can be found in the Sweet Valentine’s set.
The clouds were stamped from our Springtime Beauty II set and popped up on foam dimensionals. I love our new ribbon packets! The green ribbon & crochet both are from our Spring Lilacs Collection.
We hope you have a great Thursday! Thank you so much for visiting us today! We will be back tomorrow with a fun surprise & more inspirations! With paper hugs, Joanna
