Hello stamping friends! Today I have a technique to show you that’s been around for quite sometime but it’s a fun one! It’s a great way to get more mileage out of your stamps as well since it really gives a new and different look. This technique works great for lined or solid images. Today I chose to use the Flower of the Month: Water Lily set. Let’s get started!
The first thing you’ll need to do after selecting your stamp set is to stamp your image twice. The second one just needs to be a complete impression that will fit within the die you have chosen to cut your spotlight from. I am using the oval from Fancy Labels 3.
I used Copic markers to color my spotlight of the water lily. You then line up your die cut portion with your full image. Look for the lines to match. It might be a tiny bit off but you can get it super close. Now all that’s left is to make a card!
I added a sentiment from the same set and some Princess Crochet trim, stitching, pearls a flower and some twine. I hope you’ll give this technique a try!
