“Happy Monday Everyone! Lisa here with a Monthly Birthday/Anniversary Planner using the new Pretty Planners stamp set.
The stamped ‘typewritten’ sheet is a cute cover for the Planner.
Do you have trouble like I do trying to remember birthdays and anniversaries? My new planner will be super handy for me to check each month.
The album pages are 4 x 6. The color-coordinated card stock pockets were cut 5½ x 6 and scored at 1½.
I used index cards for the inserts (I like that they are lined). The index cards are 4 x 6, so I cut one line off the bottom and ¾ off the side of each card. Birthday is stamped on the front of each card and Anniversary on the back.
The month pages and card stock pockets were glued back-to-back.
I also used various IBS stamp sets to stamp the holidays that occur each month.
This picture shows the flip side of the index card with Anniversary stamped.
Now I have to get busy writing in all the birthdays and anniversaries that I need to remember!
I hope you liked my Birthday/Anniversary Planner. The Pretty Planners stamp set is so useful and versatile.
Next up is Kylie with a great technique on how to use your distress inks to create your own background. Here’s Kylie!
“Hi everyone! I’m so glad you could join me today.
I would like to share a card with you that I have made using one of my favourite stamps available at Inspired by Stamping. I have used many techniques for this card and can’t wait to share them with you.
Firstly, created my background. I used distress inks straight onto an acrylic block and then spritzed them with water. I randomly placed them onto my cardstock and then used some paper towel to pat the colour. To speed up the drying process I ran my heat gun over the finished cardstock.
Using the Summer Fun stamp set (New Release), I stamped the umbrella and two sentiments with Versamark and heat embossed using white powder.
Next I used the wave stamp and used a couple of different colours and repeated my stamping.
Then I used a couple of stencils. One I sponged ink over and the next I used a Gloss Gel medium over the stencil to create texture.
The final touch was having fun by taking a wet paintbrush and added a bit of reinker to it and splattering ink everywhere!
The whole panel was then attached with strips of foam tape.
There you have it! A mixed media card which was lots of fun to make!
A special thank you to Kylie and Lisa for their outstanding projects today! We hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration as well. We will see you tomorrow with more inspiring projects from Grace & Rebecca! Until then, have a great crafty day!
