Happy Wednesday Inspired By Stamping Friends!!

It’s Whoo Hoo Wednesday!!

Kendra here from Luv 2 Scrap N’ Make Cards to share this today’s tutorial!

Bordered Sentiment
A simple and very fun tutorial!
Start by gathering your supplies.
I used:
Paper Trimmer
White Cardstock Paper
1 Sheet Printer Paper
Stamps (Both Image and Sentiment)
Start by cutting your card base from white paper.  And then create the first layer 4″ x 5 1/4″.
The measure the height of your sentiment.  From the printer paper trim a piece of paper just taller then it.
So if your sentiment is 2″, cut a piece of paper a little larger than that. (I would usually do 2 1/4″ or 2 1/2″)
Decide where you want the sentiment to go and use the piece of paper you cut to be a mask.
Then stamp your image.  In this case I decided to use the Octagons set.
I didn’t in this picture, but if you feel more comfortable you can tape down the mask on each side to help it from moving.
Leaving the mask in place, I then went back and added a few of the octagon designs in colored ink.
Next you are ready to add the sentiment!
I used the Birthday sentiment from the Big Wishes II set!!
Then I used a ruler to create a line to create a “border”.   You don’t need to do this step, but for my card it added a nice finished touch.
I also added an embossed line.
Again, this step does not need to be done, but just another option.
Sometimes I may only do this step, instead of the using the ruler to create the lines.
Just depends on the card and look you would like.
Fun, simple tutorial!
Ready for my finished card?!
Hope so! 🙂
I think it turned out to be a nice masculine card:
I also finished it off, by adding a few pearls!
Have fun!  Can’t wait to see what you create!
Have a lovely day!
