Today, Leah has created a gorgeous sunset & beach scene! The colors she used are simply amazing! Here is Leah with this beautiful card!
Growing up in Hawaii I was fortunate to see many beautiful sunsets over the ocean. Now I live in Northern Arizona and though we don’t have the beach I still see many amazing sunsets. I couldn’t wait to create a pretty sunset scene using the super fun new set from Inspired By Stamping called Summer Fun.
I created the scene using lots of Distress inks and some masking, particularly to create the sun. All the images are from the Summer Fun set.
For my beach umbrella I did add a bit of Copic coloring in the dark red and heat embossed the “hello” in white. Some stitching, a few little banners from Fancy Labels 3 dies and a few sequins finish my fun sunset scene. I hope you have a beautiful day!
Next up is Kylie! Oh wow! We just love her gorgeous sentiment border along the side of her card! And the beach sunset is amazing too! Love all her details throughout. Here is Kylie!
Hi everyone! Kylie here to share with you one of the awesome New Release sets. I couldn’t resist but to reach for the Summer Fun set first.
Lets concentrate on my background first. This was so much fun to do – I combined three sentiments and the little heart from the set and arranged them all onto an acrylic block. I was then able to stamp them as a ‘block’ of stamps instead of individual ones. This is a great technique for covering a large area.
Next I created my Summer scene –
If you look closely, you will see that my sand really does look like sand! Can you guess what I have used? I have a collection of paint swatches in my drawer that I picked up from the local hardware store. This one has this beautiful texture and is the perfect colour for sand. All I did was cut the edge with a circle die and draw a wavy line on the back with a pencil and cut along that line. I used double sided tape to adhere it to my cardstock circle.
Then I went to town sponging the sea and the sunset. Once finished, I stamped the palm tree in black to create a wonderful silhouette look. I have popped up my finished beach scene with foam tape for dimension.
Thanks so much for popping over today. I hope you have enjoyed seeing all the New Releases so far.
Thank you Kylie and Leah for creating with our Summer Fun stamp set! Thank you also for stopping by and visiting us today! We will be back tomorrow with a WHW tutorial by Kendra! Until then, have a wonderful day! With Paper hugs, Inspired by Stamping
