Hello my crafty friends. After travelling 33 hours, we are home! It was very exhausting but so good to sleep in our bed. I was up at 3 am this morning and have not flipped over yet with the time change. It is a 14 hour difference between me and my family in Michigan.
I am so grateful this morning to Grace and Calypso for the gorgeous inspiration below and providing you with ideas with our stamps. I will slowly be answering emails today and if you have ordered some goodies they will be in the mail no later than tomorrow. Let’s get started with Calypso’s beautiful card!
Good morning, Calypso here with a simple card.
For me, simple isn’t always an easy approach, especially when it comes to making cards. I love pattern, texture and colors. When I stamped this image, I had no idea of the direction I was going. Stamping on colored card stock was not a “normal” practice of mine, but figured I would try it.
Started the process by stamping Flower of the Month: Lily of the Valley onto the light pink card stock and heat embossed in white powder. Now for the fun part!!! I selected a pink of pink that was slightly darker than the pink card stock.
I colored the card stock, like I typically would any image.
I just love how well it came out. If I didn’t tell you that I colored on the colored card stock, would you be able to to tell? 🙂 I used the new Fancy Labels 3 Die for the sentiment banner.
Here is a close up of the coloring and image.
I hope that you all are having a great Summer.

Next up is a bright and cheery layout by Grace featuring our It’s Your Birthday stamp set! Such a great layout for summer! Here’s Grace.
Hello Inspired By Stamping friends. Today I’d like to share a layout I created using a tag and banner stamp from the IBS store.
When it comes to documenting my life, I tend to take lots of pictures of an event/activity. Sometimes I just use a one or a couple and other times I feel like it’s best to show off all of the little details of that event. Such was the case for this particular scrapbook event. I wanted to remember all of our happy faces when we ate our scrumptious treat as well as the ambiance of the place we went to. So because I already had a ton of photos, I used some tag stamps to add design on one edge of the page without causing too much distraction for my photos. I also used a white background so that the papers and embellishments can pop without causing a headache for the viewer. Here are some more details…
I used some of the pennant banner stamps and created my own flags. I just added a stick pin behind the stamped images and adhered it to the page. I had to cut off some of the toothpicks cause it was a bit long.
I love using my homemade enamel dots (created from perler beads) to add some texture and dimension to my projects.

A special thank you to Grace and Calypso for their gorgeous inspiration. Thank you to all my friends and customers for their understanding and love as we travelled the last 6 weeks. It was such a wonderful trip filled with love, happiness and lots of laughter. I have lots of scrapbooking to do over the next few months and can’t wait to share photos with you.
PS: A few of my friends commented on my lack of suitcases on the way to the USA and how we packed light. Well we definitely made up for it on the way home with 10 suitcases and all our carryon luggage! We did a lot of shopping and brought home heaps of souvenirs and American décor. Here’s a photo of all our bags going home!
With paper hugs, Joanna xoxo
