Happy Monday Friends! One more week here in the beautiful USA! It has been such a blessing to spend time with family and friends. Even though it will be so hard to say goodbye my heart is overflowed with love and happiness.
Rebecca and Leah are here today sharing gorgeous cards with us! We begin with Rebecca and a bright, cheery card. We love her fabric buttons and how she incorporated the Fancy Labels 3 Die with our Spring Lilacs bird! Here is Rebecca!
Hello sweet blog friends. I want to share a card that I made while just ‘playing’. Sometimes when I’m crafting I have an idea in mind and other times I have no idea where I’m heading! This was one of those times…
This card mixes brights and soft pastels. I really like this unexpected look! It’s certainly ‘out-of-the-box’ and makes me want to play with color combos that break the classic ‘rules’! The bird and the flowered sprigs are from the IBS stamp set called, ‘Spring Lilacs‘ and the frame is from ‘Fancy Labels 3‘. The frame was stamped in red ink and then I used alcohol markers to fill in the ring of pink around the center circle and the quilted background design was colored in a very pale aqua. The bird, perched on a branch was also colored with alcohol markers and fussy cut to peek out of the circle that was cut with a punch…
The fun was in mixing up stamp sets and working in a color combination that I’ve never used before. The corners were shaped with a ‘stub’ punch and the really beautiful fabric brads were part of a wonderful gift of crafting supplies from my very dear friend Holly in the Netherlands.
Thank you for visiting today. Hope you’re enjoying summer!
Sending you blessings and ((hugs)),
Next up is our super talented designer Leah with a fun birthday card featuring our Pinwheels and Create A Cupcake sets! We just love her colors that she used today!
Hello stamping friends! Birthday cards are one of the most created cards and it’s fun to make them extra special. I wanted to pull out an older Inspired By Stamping set, Create A Cupcake and pair it with a newer release, Swirling Pinwheels. Wouldn’t you love a cupcake with a pretty pinwheel in it? 🙂
I was so delighted when I discovered the smallest pinwheel could fit in the cupcake! I added the sweet little bow from the Create A Cupcake set to the middle of the pinwheel. My sentiment is from Happy Occasions Sentiments. I stamped first and then embossed. The little banners are die cut from Fancy Labels 3 dies and sponged with the coordinating ink color I used in my stamping so that they’d match perfectly. The circle is die cut also using Fancy Labels 3 and stamped with an image from Cute Circles.
What’s a paper cupcake without some yummy glitter and since I love chocolate that’s what I went with. A sprinkling of sequins finishes off my card. I hope you have a wonderful day!
Thank you for stopping by and thank you to Rebecca and Leah for creating with us! Have a great crafty day! With paper hugs, Joanna
