Happy Wednesday Inspired By Stamping Friends!!

It’s Whoo Hoo Wednesday!!

Kendra here from Luv 2 Scrap N’ Make Cards to share today’s tutorial!

Spinner Card

I have never created a card using this tutorial before!

But with Inspired By Stamping’s recent release of the Swirling Pinwheels set, I figured it was the perfect time to use this tutorial!

The Swirling Pinwheels set is truly the perfect stamp set for this tutorial, in my opinion!!

Start by gathering your supplies:

Paper Trimmer
Ruler
Pencil
Paper
Stamp Set (Swirling Pinwheels)
Ink
2 Pennies
1/2″ Circle Punch
Embossing Folder (Optional)
Brad
Foam Dots

Started by taking a  5 ¼” x 4” piece of cardstock and create some guides using your pencil and ruler on the backside.

For my dimensions, I created two lines from the top of my cardstock at 1 ½” and 2”.  Then I created a line from each side measuring in at ½”.Should look something like this:

Use the ½” circle punch (turn upside down so you can see your lines) and create your circle punches just to the inside of each of the ½” lines, in between the horizontal lines.

Your piece of cardstock should look something like this after you punch the holes:

Using your paper cutter, place the cut line just about near the top of the circle and cut from one circle to the next.

Be careful to stop in the center of the circle to prevent cutting past the circle.

Repeat this step, by pushing up the cardstock in your cutter and placing the cut line just above the bottom of the circle.

This is what your paper should look like:

Now time to add your pennies!! 🙂

I find it easiest to place one penny on the backside of your layer with a foam dot on top, like this:

 Then add the top penny:

Now you are ready to add your stamped image, a pinwheel in my case:

I also added some embossing and stamped sentiment!

The card layer is then ready to be added to another layer or the card base.
Such a fun tutorial!

Perfect for anyone, kids or adults, will have fun spinning the image!!

Here’s my card all put together:
