Next up is our talented Vicki with a great birthday card featuring our Cupcake Wishes stamp set. Love all of Vicki’s layers today in her card! Take it away, Vicki!
“Hi everyone, Vicki here. Today I have a fun birthday card for you. Well, actually, it is for a friend of mine, but showcased for you ;). I’m sure you all can relate that sometimes there is the just the perfect go-to set of stamps. Case in point, I reach for Cupcake Wishes a lot! I just love the fun cupcake in this set, along with the beautiful font of the sentiment. I used some of the pretty Spring Lilacs paper also.
For my friend’s card, [she likes foo-foo], I added some liquid pearls around the edges, and I used a portion of a doily. I also added some glossy accents to the top of the cupcake. I think my friend will like this card.
See you in a couple of weeks with the new release images!
Next up is our talented Calypso with a great note pad idea! This is so beautiful for your frig or kitchen area! I love her details throughout! Here’s Calypso with tips on her project!
“Calypso here today, to share a very pretty note pad project with you. Now, while I love making altered items or all sort, I especially love making items that I can give someone and have them use the gift as intended and for a long time.
Today, I am sharing a note pad that I made using the Vintage Pieces stamp set. I found a canvas board and trimmed regular printer paper into 3 3/4″ x 5″, which were then inked with distress ink. Stamping the “Just a Note” sentiment on all 16 pages, was the fun part!! I had to use my stampamajig for this, or else I would extremely crocked!! LOL
Turning to my Lilac Spring paper pad, I trimmed a piece down to 4″ x 6″ and adhered it to the back of the canvas. I adhered magnet strips to the back, so that it could be displayed or hung on a refrigerator. I added a pencil loop, so to always having a writing piece handy!! 🙂
After all the pages were stamped, inked and ready aligned, I punched two holes through all the papers and a piece of acetate. I passed piece of ribbon from the back and tied a bow in the front!! I kept the embellishments to a minimal so that refilling it would be a cinch to do!!
Hope you’ve enjoyed my project today!!
We hope you have a wonderful weekend celebrating National Scrapbook Day! Thank you Calypso, Vicki & Leah for creating such gorgeous cards today! Hugs, Joanna
