Welcome to our blog this lovely Tuesday! Today we have three gorgeous designs to share! First up, is our guest designer Sathya creating a lovely card and box set. Next, Grace has created a fun filled and adorable layout. Then, Mynnette is here with us creating a beautiful card featuring our Just Because stamp set!
We are so excited to have the talented Sathya with us today! Back in March, she won one of our weekly challenges and kindly accepted a guest designer position. This is what she created! We just love all the beautiful details, flowers and use of our Vintage Floral paper. For more details, please click over to her blog!
Next up, is the talented Grace featuring a wonderful and fun layout! We always love Grace’s bright and bold color combinations and this one just speaks summer! Here is Grace sharing her layout with us!
“Hello there crafty friends. I know this project is a bit different from all the floral themed projects you’ve seen in this blog this month. I have loved using the new releases but I was also itching to use some bold colors on my next project and for that I veered slightly away from the floral accents. Instead, I had put together a layout featuring “arrows” and LOTS of it! Thankfully IBS is so versatile in it’s stamps sets that I was able to pull out different sets to complete my “arrow” designs.
As I was going through some pictures recently, I came across these four images of my daughter hamming it up in front of the camera while we were enjoying a day at the beach a few years ago. I loved her happy disposition and it reminded me that there’s never any stress in life that can’t be handled with a little laugh and a whole lotta smiling!
Because the design of the page is mainly geometric, I decided to play with the arrow stamps to create two blocks that added some design to the page. I also made the ends of the arrow to point to my photos directing the viewer’s eyes to my images. After that I added one of my favorite sentiments from the new Sweet Pea stamp set which was released last month.
With a some papers, twine and stickers to add dimension, the page was complete. For my stamped arrows, I got the color combination from my daughter’s bathing suit, making the arrows blend well with the photos.
I initially added white paint to the edges of my background papers but after some thought, I decided to stamp some more of the arrow design (with red ink) on the edges of my orange paper to give it more design and interest.
I added the round circles with foam adhesive to give it a little bit of a boost. I also placed them in three different parts of my page so that I am able to create a visual triangle with this project.
So there you have it. I hope this project inspired you to gather some of your similar stamps and put them together to create your own background paper.

Next up is Mynnette featuring this beautiful card! We just love how she used the fold card! It opens up so beautifully! Here is Mynn with her card!
Well hello again to all of you! I’m back with another creation that uses fabulous products from the Inspired By Stamping store. I’ve done a fun fold card this time around. Come and take a peek at it!
Here’s the card head on. I’ve used some different patterned papers from the Vintage Floral Paper Pad. I layered pieces of these papers onto some black card stock to make them POP.
Next, I stamped the rose image from the Flowers Bloom set. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink so that I could color it in with my Spectrum Noir markers. The shading for this image is super easy–just follow the lines! It makes it a snap! I cut out the image to layer onto my main panel.
It was then time to choose a sentiment. This one from the Just Because Sentiments set was perfect. Now this card is ready for almost any occasion! The pearls underneath were used to echo the other pearls used throughout the card.
The main panel was completed with two punched glittery pink butterflies also accented by the same pearls. I really like the collage effect all of these elements created!
Did I mention this was a fun fold card? I hope you can tell how this opens…I think I *might* have done this backwards, but I’m okay with it. 😉 I think it isn’t TOO hard to figure out how to open it up!
The whole thing is closed with seam binding ribbon tied on the side into a bow. A row of pearls helps to secure the ribbon and to add more texture and glam. The seam binding is also the easiest ribbon to tie, in my opinion. It’s so flexible! 🙂
Here’s a last look at the completed card. That’s all for me today, friends! I hope you take the chance to make something fun today and that you grab these goodies from the Inspired By Stamping store! HUGS and happy stamping to you all! 🙂
A special thank you to Sathya for being our guest designer today. And thank you to Grace and Mynn for creating beautiful projects for our blog. We hope you are feeling inspired to get in your craft room today! We will be back tomorrow for some more inspirations! Have a wonderful day! Hugs, Joanna xx
