Hey there crafty friends! Welcome to a new day here at IBS! We are so excited to have you here.
Before we get started, I would like to let you know that tomorrow, April 25th, is Anzac Day. Anzac Day in Australia is much like Memorial Day in America. We honor those that have fought and died for Australia. It is also a 3 day weekend and the post office will be closed till Monday. To read more about Anzac Day Click Here.
We would also like to congratulate Phi for winning last month’s IBSIC! She won a $30 gift card to our store! Phi, please email us at email@example.com to claim your prize.
Our first inspirational card is from Rebecca! She has created a beautiful, elegant and shabby chic card featuring our Beautiful Iris stamp set. We love her gorgeous bow and lovely tag too! Here is Rebecca sharing this lovely card!
“Hello dear friends and thank you for your wonderful comments. I want you to know that I read each and every one and I’m very grateful for your sweet support~ Today I have a card that I want to share with you, that uses the ‘Beautiful Iris‘ stamp set from IBS…
The coloring of this graceful stamped image, lead me to the color way I selected for the card. I’m having lots of pleasure working with these spring colors and lots of layers…
Tiny purple rhinestones were set into each iris…
and a gossamer butterfly is perched nearby…
The sentiment was taken from Everyday Greetings. I curved the stamp onto the acrylic block, to fit the die cut tag. The stamp actually says ‘Sending you sunshine, laughter & hugs’. By covering the second line with a strip of removable tape, inking, removing the tape and then stamping, I was able to make this stamp even more versatile!
I hope you have a wonderful day ahead with a little time for something creative!
Sending you blessings and ((hugs)),
Next up is the fabulous Lisa with a gorgeous card using our sketch from the IBS Blog Challenge! We adore how she used our Vintage Floral Paper with her sentiment. Such a beautiful thank you card for someone special! Here is Lisa with her card.
“Hi Everyone! Lisa here sharing a card I was inspired to create based on this month’s IBS challenge. The beautiful sentiment from the Sweet Pea stamp set takes center stage:
I started by using the IBSC #81 sketch. As the challenge colors were so pretty, I decided to use two patterns from the gorgeous Vintage Floral paper pack. Some distressing and sponging added to the soft, vintage feel of the card. A white Daisy Flower (lightly sponged with pink ink) and some white Fabric Tape finished off my trifecta card!
I hope my card inspires you to play along in this month’s IBS challenge. Is it the sketch, colors, or flowers that you are drawn to? Perhaps it is all three. We look forward to see what you create based on this month’s challenge inspiration.
My card is being mailed to a special person I want to thank for her kindness.
A special thank you to Rebecca and Lisa for creating such beautiful cards for us! We will see you tomorrow for our super duper fun blog hop with Die-Versions! Whoo Hoo! See you then! Hugs, Joanna
