Grace has created today such an inspiring project that after writing this post, I am off to make this too! It is such a cute idea and I love the sentiment she chose with the Vintage Floral paper! Here is Grace sharing her project with us!

“Looking for a quick Mother’s day gift for next month? How about altering a wooden paper clip with some beautiful products from Inspired by Stamping?

I’ve had this plain wooden paper clip for over four years now. It’s been sitting on my craft desk and I use it to tuck any notes that I wanted to remember later on it. But after receiving the new release stamps from IBS, I was encouraged to finally “pretty” up this plain clip. I am so happy with the result that I’ve actually moved this item from my crafty desk to one of my side tables in my living room. The IBS products really makes it beautiful and I’m proud to display it along with some favorite pictures of my children.

I first took out the springs from the middle of the clip, then I painted the pieces white so that it will have a clean foundation. I measured the outside part of the clips and covered it with papers from the Vintage Floral Paper pad. I decided to use my Mod Podge on this project to make sure that the papers adhere well onto the wood and that it will have a clean finish as well.

Next I used the Fancy Labels 2 Die to create my layered title block. I inked the edges of the smaller piece to separate it a little from the larger paper. I added a floral background on the block before stamping the sentiment. Both the flower and sentiment stamps are from this set…

I added some twine and rhinestone to the title block before adhering it (with foam adhesive) onto the paper clip. I wanted to add some more color to the project so I adhered three peach carnations to the edges of the title block.

So there you have it. I was able to create this project in less than 30 minutes and I’m sure it would take less if I didn’t have to paint the clip. I hope this inspired you to put your beautiful IBS stash into creating projects that will beautify your home even further.

Happy Creating,

Grace

Next up is Leah sharing this beautiful set of drawers using our Mother’s Day Bouquet stamp set! We lover her shabby chic details and the pearls across the top is so pretty! Here is Leah with her project!

“Hello!  Leah joining you today and I have a fun project to share with you today, a little dresser with three drawers all covered in pretty vintage flowers. When I saw this cut file on the Silhouette store I just had to make it. Here’s what I created with paper, stamps ink and adhesive. Don’t you love this hobby?!
Inspired by Stamping, Leah Cornelius, 3D projects, Drawers, Mother's Day Bouquet Stamp Set
I knew I wanted to use the new Mother’s Day Bouquet stamp set and I looked at some painted vintage floral dressers to get some inspiration. After I was done cutting all my pieces I did my stamping and then colored everything using Copic markers. I had seen several aqua painted dressers that just stole my heart so I went that route for my soft background color.

After I was done with the coloring I wanted to give it a more antique feel and finish so I used lots of Distress inks to age it and bring in some wood color.

I chose some antiqued looking brads for my handles and even left little scuff looking marks on the feet. I topped the dresser with a couple rows of pearls.

My final finishing touch was to add some Princess Crochet Trim to the top sides. The fun thing about this little creation is the drawers actually open and close. Very fun 🙂 I hope you’ve enjoyed my project today!
