We are swooning over Rebecca’s shabby chic card today. Her layers are just amazing and the flowers really make this card outstanding! Here is Rebecca with details!
I have a card to share with you, that uses the newly released IBS stamp set, ‘Everyday Greetings‘. The inside can hold another stamp from this set, that will determine the type of card it will be… birthday, thanks, friendship, love, support, encouragement or sympathy…
The lovely swirling typeface made me think of scrolls and romantic images. The sentiment was stamped onto a patterned paper with tiny writing and the other papers are all patterned. Some patterns are barely visible while the background paper is boldly and beautifully patterned with roses…
I created these flowers from lightweight watercolor paper, coloring them with distress inks and spraying them down with water to spread the ink and add to their shabbiness…
The card base is a dark grey, so an ivory panel was added inside and embellished with some stamping. Pardon the poor focus…I was running out of light!
Next, we have the talented Kendra! She is sharing with us how the Sweet Peas stamp set fits perfectly inside our Garden Seed Packets! We love all her details and the lovely packet of seed that fit inside this card! Here is Kendra with lots of yummy details!
The new Sweet Peas set is so beautiful!
I first wanted to work with the smaller Sweet Pea image because I loved the idea that it fit in the seed packet image from the Garden Seed Packet stamp set.
So I came up with this idea:
What a fun project! A great way to just randomly give a friend some seeds to plant in their flower beds! Beautiful way, if I may add!
A look at, as you pull out the seed packet:
The lovely paper I used, is part of the Vintage Floral Paper Pad!
Hope you’ve enjoyed my project today!!
Hope you have a lovely day!
Thank you to Kendra and Rebecca for sharing these beautiful cards! Please don’t forget to leave a comment for a chance to win some IBS goodies! Have a fabulous Monday friends! With Paper Hugs, Joanna xx
