Marzena, has altered a box that is just so charming and beautiful! We love all her gorgeous shabby chic details throughout! Here is Marzena sharing her project with us.
“Hello crafters, this is Marzena again!
This time I have for you a small altered old and ugly box which has got a new life.
I decided to make it very bright and shabby, with lace, flowers, resin and metal embellishment and twine of course!
As I designed it for a gift, I put two small sentiments, one of them “For You” taken from Flower of the Month: Sweet Pea stamp set.
and the second one “All My Love” stamped on a small feather was taken from the Mother’s Day Bouquet stamp set.
I hope you like my project and feel inspired to share your creations with us!
See you soon!
Today, I was so excited to create! I have been busy drawing our May release stamp sets the last few weeks and have sent them off to the manufacturer on Friday. Yay! Now, I can have some fun in my craft room and start creating again! I have been thinking of my Mom lately and made this card for her. It is in the mail today too.
For my inspiration, I found an old Mojo Monday sketch on Pinterest to jump start my mojo. When I first started stamping, years ago, they were the first place I went to get my creative juices flowing. Today, is the first time I have made a card in over a month and it helped so much.
After cutting out my paper with our Fancy Labels 2 die, I adhered both layers together with sticky tape. I then trimmed off the bottom so that it would fit perfectly on top of the banner. I hid the yucky line with some of our White Crochet Tape.
Whenever cutting out with my Silhouette, I always cut an entire 12×12 piece of cardstock. This allows me to grab a tag quickly and stamp on it so I don’t have to wait for my Silhouette to cut out the piece. It saves lots of time especially for those items that you use a lot of.
For the inside of my card, I used a sentiment from the Everyday Greetings stamp set. The butterflies are from our Spring Lilacs set. I then added a strip of White Crochet Tape to the top of the card too.
Paper Pads: Spring Lilacs
Nestie Die: Fancy Labels 2
Ribbon: White Crochet Tape
A special thank you to Marzena for creating such a gorgeous box for us. Thank you for stopping by today! Don’t forget to leave a comment for a chance to win such a great prize! We will be back tomorrow with some more ideas and inspiration. Have a great Monday! With paper hugs & love, Joanna xx
